Floodgates

The floodgates are up,

There’s a rush through

I can’t seem to control it,

Might have denied it earlier

But now I know I want you.

The demon

Slay him, pierce his heart with a dagger

What good would that do,

Not bring back ones to Earth.

Soft and light weight

The cotton threads interwined,

Preparing something strong and reliable,

I hope it lasts longer than

I think it will.

Deceiving

How am I suppose to say?

We are done,

We are not right together,

When all I see is your love,

The way you feel and care,

All the happiness you share unconditionally,

I couldn’t ask you to leave,

So I said the future is unknown,

Yet I will wait for you,

Make your choice, select the one

Someone who you can laugh with,

Share all your grief and be yourself

Who keeps you and family together,

Somebody perfect for you-

Hoping secretly, thinking of what could be.

Why do I feel that our lives

Have turned so still?

Is it me, or you

Who has lost the thrill?

P.S. – My blog was on hiatus for the past few months, because I was facing a writers block and travelling back and forth from University town to my native city which takes 17 hours for documents. I think my dreams will finally come true.
